10 Powerful Self Esteem Videos You Need To Show Your Students
Kids are amazing. They are loving, full of potential, and are the only people who genuinely care about 3rd favorite color. The problem is that many children simply don’t see the beautiful qualities they possess. I’ve often heard the soft, sweet voices of young students saying that they don’t like who they are. It’s heartbreaking every time.
Thankfully, we have the power to give our sweet students the tools they need to believe in themselves and be proud of who they are. These 10 videos are just what you need to sow seeds of confidence in your students.
It Doesn’t Have To Be Complicated
As a counselor, I have always loved doing super creative and engaging lessons. I want the kids to have so. much. fun.
And you know what? There’s a place for that.
But sometimes, you don’t need a 45 minute lesson with 10 moving parts. Sometimes there’s a school assembly in 10 minutes, half the class is out sick, and you’re not feeling great yourself. And that’s okay.
Just because a lesson isn’t complicated doesn’t mean it isn’t effective. Each of these 10 self esteem videos are less than five minutes, but have the power to really impact your students and how they see themselves.
Because they are so short and easy, you can easily add them into what you’re already doing.
Simple ways to use them:
Morning meetings
As a way to begin or end your self esteem lessons
Post them on your school website or school counseling page
During morning announcements done via video
When you have 5 minutes that you’re not sure how to fill
So, choose a few of your favorite and help your students become more confident in who they are.
