Test Taking Strategies No-Prep Lesson For Kids
Helping students feel confident about test taking just got easier. In this no-prep lesson, kids will consider how they can be better prepared for the test, and will learn 6 test-taking strategies they can use on the test.
The lesson includes discussion questions and 3 activities:
Activity #1: Kids will look at different examples and talk about whether or not these things will help them feel prepared for the test.
Activity #2: Kids will use collaborative worksheets to learn about these 6 test-taking strategies:
Read the directions carefully
Underline or circe important information
Try to answer all of the questions,
If you don’t know the answer - skip it and come back to it
Cross out the answers you know aren’t right
Double check all of your answers
Activity #3: Kids will take a “quiz” about animals to practice the test-taking strategies they have learned.
This lesson plan is aligned to the ASCA mindsets and behaviors and the CASEL framework.
